Healthy banana oat waffles

Bored of porridge but don’t want to break the diet? Try these delicious but healthy waffles made simply of oats, eggs and bananas. Then treat yourself with some naughty toppings such as bacon and golden syrup.

Ingredients

  • 100g porridge oats

  • 2 bananas

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp baking powder

To serve

  • Golden syrup

  • Chopped banana

  • Walnuts

  • Cooked streaky bacon

Method

  1. Place all the waffle ingredients in a blender and blitz to make your waffle batter

  2. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook for 5- 7 minutes.

  3. remove from the iron, place on a plate and dress with your toppings.
