Crispy homemade chicken goujons

These are so easy to make but are way better than shop bought. We’ve added parmesan to the bread crumbs for extra flavour, delicious.

Ingredients

  • 100g Panko bread crumbs

  • 40g parmesan, grated

  • 100g flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Method

  1. Pre heat the oven to 210 °c

  2. Cut each chicken breasts into strips.

  3. Place the flour and a good grind of black pepper into a wide bowl or plate. In another wide bowl add the breadcrumbs and parmesan. Then finally wisk 2 eggs together in a deep bowl.

  4. Dip each chicken piece into the flour, followed by the egg and then the bread crumbs, then lay on a flat baking tray covered with baking paper. Complete this step until all the chicken is coated.

  5. Place the baking tray of chicken in the middle of the oven and cook for 20 - 25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through.

  6. Serve with a fresh green salad and new potatoes or chips.
